Medical Articles
Which Medical Articles to Trust?
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of medical articles online. Though it is great that there
is so much information out there, it can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Some don’t trust doctors, and they want to find out what is wrong by
looking online, and then they attempt to heal themselves using what they have found. This is never a good idea, and as a writer, there is a huge
part of me that does not want to write any of these articles. I often put a disclaimer on each article, and I don’t include some things that
someone might use to hurt themselves.
There are some who write medical articles who can be considered experts. These are doctors and other health professionals who
know what they are doing and have the knowledge to write these. When I do research for any medical articles that I write, I will not use
anything for a source other than something written by a doctor and put on what I consider to be a reputable web site. I keep in mind that there
may be some writing these that claim they are doctors when they are not, so I stick to a few different sites that I know are trustworthy.
Medical Articles as a Guide Only
Even then, I will not put some information in my medical articles. If some of them call for help with herbs and alternative
medicine, I try not to list any herbs by name. I think this is dangerous, and people don’t realize how strong these herbs can be and what they
can do if taken wrong or in conjunction with the wrong medications. I don’t want someone reading what I have written in medicalarticles
and then trying to use the herbs on their own. I always suggest they see someone licensed in herbal medications for advice and guidance.
No matter how careful I am to state that I am not a doctor, and that the information they find in my medical articles is
meant to be a guide only, there are some who will just throw together anything without research, and they will not make that same disclaimer.
This worries me, and can lead to problems for some who take everything they read online as the solid truth. This just isn’t the case, and can be
a huge problem when it comes to medicalarticles. When you read anything like this online, and you think it pertains to you, print it out
and discuss it with your doctor so that you do not harm yourself or someone you love trying to do treatments at home that may or may not be
valid.
