I took a multivitamin everyday, went for regular health checkups, and in general took care of myself. Apparently, at least according to many health articles, even a moderate intake of trans fats would really do a number on my heart. Nonetheless, the nutrition articles told me that I could still be at increased risk of heart disease.

These things are foreign to the body, and the body does not handle them well. Go for foods that do not have added sugar and preservatives. You should go for fresh meats, cheese, vegetables, fruits, berries, seafood, and all grain breads.
