Apparently, at least according to many health articles, even a moderate intake of trans fats would really do a number on my heart. You should go for fresh meats, cheese, vegetables, fruits, berries, seafood, and all grain breads. These things are foreign to the body, and the body does not handle them well. Go for foods that do not have added sugar and preservatives. I love to go to the local farmer’s market to get fruit and vegetables, but that is not something I can do all year long. I usually have to settle for what I can find in the winter months. Maybe those so-called "healthy crackers" aren't so healthy after all. Low fat doesn't always mean nutritious. Maybe they're infused with high levels of sodium and sugar.
